Under the reign of Spaniards
The country's pride stands
As invaders brought torrent darkness
Putting Filipinos to undelightful loneliness.
The battle that Filipinos face
In stopping the ghastly demons and to build peace
The courage that they had
Country's lost freedom found.
And as the sun beams the land
Filipinos unite hand and hand
That vanishes the scornful pain
That lies in everyone's heart and brain.
Filipinos of yesterday
Marks heroism today,
And as long as Filipinos blood flow
Our beautiful land will continue to glow!
